It’s been 7 years of life-changing, faith-renewing, community-impact ministry of the Journey to the Cross (JTTC). All praises to God! All these years, JTTC proved that its ministry is far more effective in touching lives compared to big crusades and camp meetings, because of its interactive, personal journey and individual-focus ministry strategy.
CONQUERING ASIA
This year, JTTC not only conquer the hearts of the Filipinos, but also the hearts and lives of our fellow Christians and even non-believers around Asia. As JTTC ministry expands and God’s great message of Grace spread around the globe, a need for translation has caught the attention of the Bangladesh JTTC Staff. With the leadership of Charles Raksham, DREAM International Executive Discipleship Director and Bangladesh Adventist Union Mission Youth Ministry Department, under the direction of Mr. Milton Das, JTTC was translated to Bengali. The translation team composes of the following ministry-oriented individuals: N. N. Sircar, Robert Sircar, Ratna Sircar, Milton Das, and Charles Raksham. Last year, two (2) JTTC was conducted, the first one is at Bangladesh Adventist Seminary and College, during the 2nd Union Wide Master Guide Convention, last September 11 – 14. Approximately 500 souls were blessed and their faith renewed. The second JTTC was done a month after at Dhaka Adventist Pre Seminary Hall Room, which is sponsored by Mirpur Adventist Church, Dhaka Adventist Pre Seminary, and Bangladesh Adventist Union Mission. The target group of the 2nd JTTC is the members of the Mirpur Adventist Church, Dhaka and other non-Adventist contacts in Mirpur. Approximately 200 souls were changed.
Thousand of souls in Japan hungers to experience a personal journey with our Savior. For that reason, under the leadership of DREAM International former President, Obed Soire, JTTC’s translation to Nipongo is on process, and hopes to be finish before the end of this year.
As JTTC International staff dedicatedly innovates and upgrade JTTC yearly, another project has been decided, which is to translate JTTC to Tagalog to cater to our Tagalog friends. This project is almost in completion, and hopes to be released this coming April.
THE IMPACT
Impact of JTTC to the personal lives of people who went through the journey can be summarized, among thousands written on JTTC prayer journal, with this letter:
Dear Jesus,
I give You more than thanks for this Journey to the Cross, because my eyes and heart was opened that I can consciously experienced this spiritual change in my life. I personally felt Your hardship in facing all the trials so that You can save a sinful person like me. I felt Your fear and yearning desire not to go through this most excruciating experience that will happen to You. But, despite of all of this, You still decided to go through the hardship and pain because it was Your Heavenly Father’s desire. Because of this, I think to myself that You, the Son of God, decided to face the perils, now I personality decided that any trials that I face, even though I still have fear, I should bear it, and I know that God will always there to guide me so that I can overcome it.
Jesus, please help me that I can bear to walk the life the You thread.
Thank you Jesus…
Thanks to Journey to the Cross Staff
God Bless you
