Dispels Fear

“…my peace I give unto you…let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”  John 14:27

At the start of this chapter, we find Christ expressing the same thought. And if you did not know, now you do, today’s world is a place of fear. After my last posting, iDREAM took Journey to the Cross Ministry Team (JTTC) to some rather remote islands of the Philippines. For about a month, we have been out thus the delay in our postings. Our apologies. But I remember before I went with some members of AWE4HIM (iDREAM Praise Ministry Team) to join the rest on an island called Mindoro, a storm was raging. The night before we were to leave, I told those I was going with who by this time were scared stiff to travel that we would be fine. Jesus had calmed many storms, and that same Jesus says that we should not fear. And we did travel, clear skies and all. But that’s the world we live in.

Millions are afraid of the destruction and devastation happening around them. In some places some are even afraid to step out on their own porches, go to the corner store to buy milk or even head out to the play ground. But still my Lord declares in Isaiah 41:10 “Fear not, for I am with thee. Christians need not be afraid, the holy spirit brings victory through Christ Jesus to Gods trusting people.

For some younger people the fear that comes is that they are not loved. Not just the young, but the older folk as well. At times we go astray, we aren’t perfect that’s true and the devil likes to use that to make us feel we are lost and have no more hope. So we do something wrong, make a mistake and then feel as if we could never come back to the Lord. And that is just what the devil wants us to feel. But we are told in John 8:36 that “if the son has set u free, you are free indeed.” And through the blood that was shed we are set free. There’s a passage of scripture that I love and it comes from Romans 8:38, 39 and I leave that thought with you as well, that nothing in this life or anywhere “shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

So now, what reason do we have to fear? None! Allow Christ to dispel fear from your life and give you victory.
